Promoting Gender Equality in Pakistan Higher Education: Navigating Careers with Caring Responsibilities
In November 2023, Dr. Faiza Ali, PhD (SDSB-LUMS), Dr. Mina Beigi (University of Southampton), Dr. Wee Chan Au, PhD, SFHEA (Newcastle University), with Project Manager Moeeza Nisar, and Research Associate Talha Saleem, conducted capacity-building workshops as a part of a joint research project between LUMS and UK partners, sponsored by the British Council. These workshops were designed to develop strategies with women academics who have caregiving roles, aiming to support their career progression and promote gender equality in Pakistan’s higher education institutions. In April 2024, the second round of capacity-building workshops was launched.
