SAAM Webinar: What Can CEOs Do to Foster Inclusive Culture and Gender Equality

In this webinar, held on 22 January 2025 (3-5pm), esteemed panel of guest speakers shared their invaluable insights and experiences.

-Mr Musadaq Zulqarnain, Chairperson of Interloop, highlighted impactful interventions to promote gender equality within Interloop and other organizations.

-Ms Faeza Asad Khan, Chief Strategy Officer of Abacus, shared her experiences in advancing gender equality in Pakistan and internationally.

-Mr Memosh Khawaja, former CEO of PICG, Henkel and Haleeb, provided insights into policies and regulatory requirements for including women in governance structures.

-Dr. Faiza Ali, Associate Dean at SDSB LUMS, shared her personal strategies and research for women’s leadership development in Pakistan and the UK.

Ms Mahum Fatima outlined the South Asian Academy of Management’s initiatives to promote gender equality and diversity in Pakistan and wider South Asian region. She also offered a preview of the upcoming 2-day workshop (Women Leadership Program: Breaking the Glass Ceiling) scheduled for April 17-18, 2025, at Avari Lahore.

Dr. Jawad Syed shared his research and recommendations to promote gender equality in organizations. He also referred to his co-edited textbook, Managing Diversity and Inclusion, as a resource for teaching diversity and inclusion at universities and business schools.

With over 50 participants from diverse industries and sectors, the interactive Q&A enriched the discussion further. The panelists and attendees expressed their gratitude to the South Asian Academy of Management for organizing this event. Together, we’re paving the way for a more inclusive future. 💡
