Synopsis
The case study, Digital Learning at GOC, focuses on Gulf Oil Co., Ltd. (GOC) and its efforts to modernize employee training using digital learning. Abeer Ahmed, Director of Human Resource Development, is responsible for implementing ‘GOC Learn,’ an online training system, along with augmented reality, wearable computing, and drones. While younger employees embrace the change, experienced workers are hesitant. The case explores the challenges of digital transformation in corporate learning, balancing traditional and modern training methods, and measuring the impact of digital learning on productivity, safety, and overall business performance.
